The Astrology of June 2026: Performance Anxiety

You may have read about the extended Void Of course Moon’s we’ve been having, or simply noticed that things in your life fail to anchor and can only seem to take hold and initiate in scattered distribution. This is due to 2025/2026’s abundance of planets in early degrees of signs, about to get even more acute when Jupiter switches over to Leo at the end of June. Astrologers have been giving 2025/2026 the eye before even the debacle that was 2020, as all the outer planets switching signs within a relative time-stretch and then all aspecting one another simultaneously (like the maddening preponderance of planets at 4 degrees this July) spelled whole new plots, whole new worlds, wtf is that about when everything is all interwoven together in some unfamiliar tapestry. We’re mostly dealing with sextiles and trines, so it may be that this period is markedly progressive, but since Saturn and Jupiter have been square, it comes off as alarming, that we are in a tension filled point of the story and something must be done to fix things or at least lower the threshold under code red.

This plays perfectly into Saturn, Neptune and recently Mars all having been together in Aries (where Neptune and Saturn persist for the long term) which is an action oriented fire sign framing things in the tactical now and concerns itself with autonomous, direct effectiveness. Saturn brings to this mode obligation, responsibility, limit, structure; he’s trying to build our capabilities and tune up our skills— he’s, like it or not, our asshole personal trainer who is leagues beyond his competition. Like the harsh master transforming the disciple in a martial arts movie trope. The Void Moon phenomenon extends his “strike while the iron is hot and do not strike while it is not, you’ll only waste your energy” axiom of conservation balanced with accuracy, as there being no point in taking initiatory action for stretches of 18, 24, 36 hours off and on every few days as the Moon fails to make another traditional spect before changing signs, the “not now, not now, not now, not now, NOW!” Compression is double emphasized. This is not totally unlike a Mars retrograde, with its frustrating “hurry up and wait” dynamics being a rhyming mode to the current vibe, and as the current celestially symphony foreshadows Mars’ retrograde this coming winter, one does seem to lead to the other.

Jupiter being in a Moon ruled sign also extends this dynamic from the glass half full lens, the issue being the glass itself is only accessible a fraction of the time. Jupiter loves being in Cancer, where he can bring about opportunities for fulfillment that quenches our needs and renders our life meaningful and nourishing on profound levels, but with the Moon only able to gain traction most reliably for the half a day at a time when it first rolls into a new sign, we may go through mood swings, highs and lows and periods throughout the week where we feel we are arriving at our much needed well of resources oscillating with hopelessness where nothing is coming together. If you know the astrology you can sit back and set a reminder to alert you when exactly to take aim and hit your target goals as they are happening to pass by, rather than shooting arrows into an empty horizon hoping to strike something out of sight at random.

June begins with Mercury ingressing Cancer, so the logistics, analytics, communications and trouble shooting going on will be explicitly surrounding what is suggested above until early August; how do we gather the resources necessary to live a fulfilling, nourishing and meaningful existence? How can we live in such a way where we feel fed rather than starved? Where do we locate fellowship and abundance? How might we arrange things so that we feel good, cared for, generative, intuitive and subjectively sound? Water signs, being subjective, resource from our memories to tap into intuitive faculties to determine what would feel like a fitting shift of shape.

Last time Mercury was retrograding in water signs, before this current round, was just leading up to and during the pandemic. Jupiter had just transited through Sagittarius, optimism and opportunity were on high and people were on the move right up to the moment where pandemic protocols had us all hitting a wall. I think many people might have been in a considerably contemplative state at that time, readying to make changes in their life, and though covid changed us all, the changes that might have most suited us and best fit us then slipped by, and with some distance now, we might be coming around to searching out these appropriate forms to sit in symbiotic feedback loops with, rather than the restitutive best-of-worst-case scenario medium term arrangements we found ourselves in, likely during the period of 2023-2024 when Jupiter and Saturn were sextile from Taurus-Pisces, a mix of allowing the path of least resistance to do the most practical thing for the time being, while we were still heavily traumatized.

That was when Uranus was still in Taurus, and no matter how hard we tried to make radical alterations to our baseline existence, nothing would budge, only quake violently and not change. Now with that period past, and sweeping change combined with driving headlong into unfamiliarity so thoroughly upon us, the groundwork is not so resistant, although, Chiron’s June 19th ingress into Taurus suggests this heavily wrestled with terrain of our lives, that we may have over-exerted and warped from tugging at it in all its extreme stubbornness, is badly bruised and might need to be nursed back into stability for the next several years.

We could say this is a post-virtual return to physical reality, grappling with a world scarce in housing or affordable property, in a marketplace where online vendors have gone full villain and brick & mortar businesses have vanished, where the map of our own bodies is distorted by myriad digital hauntings— we’re looking to heal the most reliable regularity in our existences, now that we at last have the embodied presence to do so, largely due to the narrative tension in the macro plot where we live in a dark society of technocratic corruption, and our current inclinations are to move away from technological progress rather than go along for the exponential doom ride. In 2021 with Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius progressive tech-science perspectives seemed both secure and broadening, now with only Pluto in Aquarius they appear only dark and demented for the next twenty years. This pushes us out of the status quo collective space and in search of unexplored social and conceptual territory, likely to form networks that were not hierarchically established by overlords.

The New Moon in Gemini on the 14th, Venus’ sextile to Uranus the next day, and the alignment this is in with the outer planets in their unfamiliar and future-forward arrangement stresses how within a radical reshuffling of our concepts, ideas and social cross-pollinations is the latent value of following our hearts and spirits so as to live an invigorated and energetically fueled existence of Daimonic purpose, in direct opposition to technocratic agendas to undermine our identities and homogenize us. Mars enters Gemini and agrees with this along the way, shaking quite a bit of explosive potential into the already revolution-ready admixture, seriously pepping up the optionalities and possibilities we might begin to be urgently curious about.

Paradoxically, the Full Moon in Capricorn on June 29th subjectively stresses security, history, limitation, structure and territorial advantage, clashing with Saturn’s Aries agenda to individuate and act autonomously while the Moon is in a Saturn ruled sign. Meanwhile, the Moon is ruling Mercury, by then retrograde, so in the process of rethinking what we want and where we can derive comfortable nourishment, while Mercury is ruling Mars, acting in the extreme to tactically tease out radical new options that change the game, while Mars is ruling over that Saturn in Aries which loops back to that Moon. This essentially stresses the fact that paradoxes abound and that scenarios may be cycling without possible resolutions, but, on cue and almost by magic, Jupiter ingresses Leo on the 30th, shifting his orientation from making us coherent of what would be comfortable and nice to what would be authentic, exciting, expressive and spiritually resonant, which will be abundantly more aligned with the array of new, unfamiliar, autonomous and revolutionary ideas proliferating for the next long haul of the timeline. Prepare to prefer what excites you over what comforts you, but make sure that is not just plain selfishness talking and is true to your incarnated consciousness’ actual agenda.

When I say “spiritual” I mean in the sense of the energy that animates your body and makes you a living being and not a deceased one. The electricity flowing through you, the light in your eyes, your conscious-awareness, your mind, your self-sense. This is what the Chinese called the Shen and the Greeks called the Daimon. You may think of it as the spiritual higher mind that migrates from incarnation to incarnation and strives towards a purpose that you resonate with carrying out even though its scope is larger than a single life. In this sense, it's the things that you feel the absolute most affinity with and which excite and motivate you the most, it is that which is most central to who you are, what you stand for and the essence of which you align and act to carry out.

Now, this is in the context of Leo’s Sun ruled bright side, and Jupiter we tend to see as benefic so in the spirit of optimism we can predict these aspects to amplify, but being pragmatic, which we should be to equal measure, as Jupiter being in Leo means it is trine and thus harmonized to critical Saturn in individuating and action oriented Aries, also we must expect ego inflation, unnecessary boasting, excessive exhibitionism and extreme attention seeking. As long as you keep a slick and savvy handle on your metaphysical weaponry and remain in the energetic and spiritual dojo dedicated to the craft of welding your spiritual entity as elegantly as possible in a results driven capacity that keeps itself in balance with right relation across the general spectrum, then you should be fine.

Fair warning: Daimonic trajectories most often require hard choices pertaining to what seem like paradoxical pathways to pursue. This makes sense here with Leo sextiling option variating Gemini and trining athletically competitive and solo flying Aries; we are finishing up concerning ourselves so much with safety and security that we can’t cease the suckling long enough to see our own future. Now that we have learned to feed ourselves properly and get enough quality rest in an integrative way we can move on to engaging with that which reverberates with our higher purpose more than our baseline needs. The saturation will be high on this wavelength, as perceptions widen to intoxicating degrees.

The current astrological climate asks us if we have the gall to be decisive and assertive without being angry or aggressive. Our hand-eye coordination is tested, and it may be that if we do not feel grounded and stable from what we ingest, as literal diet as well as information and experiences, we will be too foggy of mind to see the forest for the trees and zero in on our targets. We might have noticed various people attempting to detoxify their habits as well as their engagements. We can’t take this to neurotic degrees as that defeats the purpose and throws us off balance as much as too much substances, merely by swapping one addiction for another, intoxication for optimization. It may be we are ready to project into a social fabric that is directly in front of us, which takes literal leg work, like a detective on the case, real world clues unpack like accordion folded mirrors, and new notions emerge in the reflective amplification. Recent infrastructure updates and upgrades seem to only degrade or scramble the system and render it crippled with glitches, developer’s dreams having outrun what’s cohesively possible. It’s like an entropic bridge to a reality where 1st World and/or Developed Nations have slipped into decaying stories of past excesses. Post-Industrial wonders of the world only having been feasible in this swelling of extractive coffers. We are now past the Great Data Disaster of 2020, and in the resulting Great Compression of 2026 which includes people repulsed by AI integration and ready to abandon virtual hubs and complain about the construction of data centers they funded passively through the financial products where their investments spun into upward margins. If you are not wealthy it’s likely you are very sick of wealthy people and their trappings and the race to catch up at the sake of becoming a charlatan

in the process.

Glamour is migrating off of recognizable signifiers, and the carrier system for public display and personal expression may break into a new set of avenues, some of which might be outside channels that could be considered media at all. The subset of those who build, develop, engineer, map, predict curate and deliver may have broken completely free from those who simply exist as humans, with all the anti-human and non-human paranoia percolating and spiking at the revolving door of the consensus narrative. Words don’t do it justice, and this very falling-short as an expletive exhale is likely the next big modulating notion to come around the proverbial bend. But there is no longer one bend-singularity that we all experience equally or at all. There are infinite bends all coming around in unquantifiable complexity, as the return of radical variety overtakes the homogenizing preset of network assembly and veers off map out of the abducting void space into some kind of luminous swell reckoned to be shadow swiped until it is lean and delivered to us as an unarguable, central proof beacon.
