The Astrology of 2025: Unreal Origins

For whatever reason I wrote this in December, prior to the New Year, as I usually do and then decided I didn't know if I felt like posting it. I was in the mood to watch and respond rather than forecast and project into the timeline. Although, I started to see things I had speculated on already starting to emerge, so I figured I'd drop it and continue with the ongoing chopping block of the potential goings on...

Ask any astrologer, 2025 is tricky, and is a tricky year in a now running chain of tricky years. Lo and behold, Air period astrology is just more randomized, non-linear, quirky, and unpredictable than Earth period astrology. Like in Remote Viewing, you can get the impression, the sub reality seedform or gestalt of what’s to come but nailing down an exact prediction is not so possible, especially as we go headlong into qubits where potentialities are non-binary by nature and include a superimposition of all potential outcomes. Yup, if thats how we’re computing that’s the world we’re experiencing. Trump, Mangioni, the deadly Sicilian waterspout, the weather directing towers and all the rest are both real and fake simultaneously. “Conspiracy theory”, “fake news”, “checked facts” and “trustable science” are so five years ago and a literal paradigm in the past. As thoroughly noted, pre-2025 belongs to the previous collection of outer planet arrangements and post-2025 belongs to the next outer planet arrangements, so as we once again teeter on the liminal knife’s edge between worlds, the safety cord to what was now fatefully cut, settle in to never again being able to securely figure out what’s what. The Fake is indeed now far too deep, and the reaches of which currently are and furthermore will disallow us from parsing out critical components and diagnose the world situation in a precise and exacting manner. NEWS and FACTS are officially dead. We now live in a world of NARRATIVE and PATTERN. Tricksters abound, and despite this emerging from the nightmarish technocratic realm, this is in fact a more magical, mythic and naturalized reality state than the past few centuries of hard core and destructive rational materialism, which you all know first hand included industrialism and ecological devastation like no other time in the anthropocentric chronology. Clearly, no matter how much you pledge your allegiance to measurable and rigorous methods of scientific knowing, this paradigm as the dominant ravaged the thriving equilibrium of earth, and we can’t simply solution ourselves technologically out of that quagmire. What is now emerging, ironically from technology itself, is a widespread waking dream state we inhabit and within which we must make meaningful existence within despite its protean nature and non sensical climate. Welcome to the full TechnoMythic realm. Please, do us all a favor and finally leave your Matrix metaphors at the door. Projections of what the future could be like from the past will not help you here. What we need is fresh stories, intuition, thorough questioning, suspension of belief, respect for all life, unconditional love, a sense of the sacred, refined ability to balance, awareness of energy, cultivation of soul and an ability to use one’s senses first hand and be present with your subjective self. There will, of course be a kaleidoscopic relentlessness to derail each and every one of these faculties from the automata of artificiality and the dispassion of corrupt power, so apply the upcoming inclination to be vigilant and valiant to maintaining your completeness and coherence and filter the collective subterfuge we are all now so used to seeing pollute the ideosphere. Like commercial television in the 80s-90s, we all knew it was absolute rot but it persisted and morphed incessantly regardless. We are now in the ‘sick of the zombified and broken internet and disenchanted with AI’ moment, yet, the virtual will likely respond by mutating to enormous proportions and disseminating itself everywhere regardless.

This is merely a base layer of contemplation for forms we are moving into. Those forms whether in the intersecting zeitgeists or applied with pressure to our world externally we can explore in series, some of which may be along the lines of:

I’d like to draw your attention to the lines : “America owns America wins, Comes in, packets bottles tins, Blinds our eyes fills our ears, It’s been our soul for twenty... years…” The song was previously unreleased until Crass’ 1986 compilation of mostly singles entitled ‘Best Before 1984’, the year they broke up, so 20 years prior may be sometime around 1961, as “Smash…” sounds to me like it was recorded circa 1981, when they released Penis Envy, which included only female singers and not Steve Ignorant, possibly explaining why the song was lost till later. To non-American’s who have spent little time in America I often have to explain that “americanization” is something that happened first to America and then spread elsewhere. America’s emergence just prior to industrialization as well as its bloody colonial origins all contributed to the situation of “americanization”, although the source is industrialized empire rather than the American continent or population itself. America is a stage of empire’s story that travelled directly, at least as far as funding from Rome to Venice to England to America shifting from military power to bank power to corporate power to full blown industrial global nation on American soil by the time we catch up with “Smash the Mac”.

CRASS

Ironically, the Mac Crass is smashing is not the Macintosh computer which was released also in 1984, the year Crass broke up, meaning there was a hardware Mac to smash by the time “Best Before…” was released in 1986 but it wasn’t actually referred to as the Mac, as in iMac and MacBook, until 1999. Listening to the song now it is impossible to hear it without imagining the thrashing destruction of computers or Silicon Valley as a whole, and in our contemporary 2025 this includes phones and the entire digital infrastructure, including the toppling of towers and dream of downing satellites. Indeed, I think what we might frame as “anarcho” in the 2025 and onward astrological era will not be prefixed “anarch”, as it is more outside than against, as there is nothing to be against except an ongoing artificial escalating managerial nightmare within which we struggle to cohere ourselves and survive meaningfully, no political party to attempt to convince to policy us out of desperate situations with the polis necessitating arm of police to keep such laws in line, instead there might rather be underlying philosophies of the zeitgeist which become more hardcore opposed to being in the presence of biology disrupting devices and their signal emitting counterparts, rendering towers and satellites seen as savage weapons pointed at the populace more than a utility of convenience. Obviously, such assumptions exist and get memed around on X and ranted about on Youtube etc., but as I suggested above, the “conspiracy theorist” as antagonist character is breaking down as the direness of the situation becomes more accepted collectively at the baseline.

Crass, though a forerunner of what we call anarcho-punk or sometimes crust-punk, were in themselves a group of rather avant garde individuals more aligned with situationist and dadaist ideas and were birthed from the petri dish of their headquarter’s the Dial House adjacent to Epping Forest in Essex just outside the London metro region, which had been established as an “open house” since 1967. Penny Rimbaud, Crass’ drummer has stated that Crass was maybe the most well known project to emerge from Dial House but far from the only project and not necessarily the largest in scale. Another movement to have its basis in Dial House was the Stonehenge Free Festival, held inaugurally in 1974, in which squatting of the site was maintained and concert events costing no money were held as part of the larger free festival movement in which bands brought their own equipment and people would bring in what they needed or wanted and self organize rather than require officiating impresarios. Within this swirl of culture which parallels COUM Transmissions morphing into Throbbing Gristle and then Psychic TV we have some seeds, roots, threads and touchstones of what would come to rhizomate into myriad DIY subcultures until their undercutting by digital interconnectivity, surveillance, information access disseminating dissolve, post gentrification price impossibility and finalized by global lockdowns putting a hard stop to organic autonomous activity. 2025 astrologically puts a hard edge as well as a hypnotic dreaming of autonomous activity into play as well as makes obvious the corrupt nature of technocracy, progressivism and collective ideologies, resulting in some return of avant/diy/anarcho/subcultural potentiality, albeit disconnected and reformed from scratch as opposed to continuing the traditions of cultural actors mentioned. As hippy/punk/industrial/indy/etc. were all Post-War phenomenons, what will next emerge will be a post-digital/lockdown phenomenon contending with an altogether different societal landscape; new currency, markets, authority, technology and so on, yet all the same there are certainly Macs to be smashed, infact so many that the smashing may become uproarious to yet unprecedented degrees. This is essentially the emergence of the mass subculture of resistance in the post-protest era. Post-War anarcho ideology protested the War Machine and its commercial counterparts. Now it is likely the resistance instead pleas not to politicians, obviously false, but directs rage and destruction at the very essence of digital degradation and collective control setting fire to influencers, content creation, cancel culture, alt right ideology, shit lib mind viruses, polarizing mass formation, scientism, elite solutionism and all the tentacles of the technocratic crisis web spinning that has no central source. Prepare for a lot of people to not give a fuck about all the things they were supposed to value and worship on all ends of the political spectrum for the past 5-10 years.

CALENDRICAL FARCE:

One place you can see this emergence percolating is the attitude shift around how to interact with New Years as a holiday. Having long paid more attention to seasonal cycles and visible or felt phenomenon, I’ve tended to stay in on New Years and avoid the masses, steering clear of the spectacle and usually seen as a ‘party pooper’ in the process. December 31st 2025 on the other hand, almost everyone I communicated with expressed sentiments that New Years wasn’t real and it was a pointless celebration of an artificial chronological integer increase. I also gathered this was a common sentiment circulating online. As artificiality has expanded to become in extreme excess within the frameworks we inhabit it seems the populace at large is coming to identify when it is present and feel repulsed by it. Dynamics of holism have been distributed to the masses and even though these are usually splinters and shreds of commercialized semi-holism they do accumulate to some sense of what may be real and what may be not via tenuous but sensorial connective tissues. We are coming to understanding the real collectively by large through the back door, as in the widespread inability to assess real and fake since Neptune has been in Pisces, so as Neptune is getting checked and filtered by Saturn in 2025 (which also simultaneously makes Saturn’s boundaries more permeable) and then ingresses Aries in the spring where Neptune “wakes up” from the Piscean abyss and begins to hallucinate more actively, we may be more apt to deal with what is directly rather than be so easily tempted to escape. Even centuries and millennia old holistic traditions suffer from adopting the calendar and clock of agriculture, industrialization and empire organization having abandoned the Sun, Moon and stars long ago. Modern society needs the calendrical translation for any tradition to fit into their schedule and thus life in general, although that very translation renders the medicine ineffective except by placebo, and the body, world and society stand in disconnect. There is great value and possibility to heal in a culture learning to disregard the “official” calendar, as long as it is not A.): merely a meme-ing concept, and B.): not simply a function of further disorienting the masses.

DIY 2.0:

I wrote about this previously in another article about Pluto’s transition from Capricorn to Aquarius as well as touched briefly on it above. I’ll quote from this aforementioned article:

Pluto in Capricorn’s time initiated with the Lehman Brothers collapse, housing market crash, bank bailouts and subsequent recession. Prior to this gentrification had already been ripping across the land, especially in the culturally volatile United States. I often mark MTV’s the Real World as a starting marker for the contemporary age of gentrification, as it allowed for Iowa farm boys to dream about living in San Francisco, Seattle, and other cities with then incredibly cheap rent for the relative poshness close at hand, taking a nose dive into the yet-to-be-spoiled subcultural pools. By 2008 many of the generational inhabitants, ghetto zones, 90s style subcultural enclaves and organically cobbled together neighborhoods had been chased out or driven into less desirable corners. 2008’s dramatic drop in real estate allowed for further consolidation of property into the hands of developers as well as making many in their 20s-40s suddenly able to lucratively house flip leading to an after effect of younger to middle aged normies of breeding-ready age having unexpected asset security once things began to rebound to normalish levels along with developers converting every street corner into a foodie destination hub with adjacent AirBnB lodgings as the hospitality industry swelled to distorted proportions, a very Capricorn—Cancer axis affair: banks, real estate, restaurants and shelter.

Before Pluto in Capricorn a “hipster” was someone who worked at a record store, knew all the who’s who in the underground bands, record labels and club scenes. After Pluto in Capricorn a “hipster” is instead basically anyone who isn’t a Trumper, or more accurately a member of the masses who consumes and styles themselves based on predictable niche trends. Something happened culturally (Libra) and it effected what was D.I.Y (Aries) sucking the punk scenes (Libra-Aries) up and flattening them beneath the new monoliths of status (Capricorn) via food, drink and homemaking (Cancer). In the early phase of this (Earth Firster punks train-hopping to go apprentice at horse powered farms in rural idyls) everything seemed still hopeful. The crash in property prices allowed for a lot of have-nots to access home or building buying that normally was out of their range, giving subcultural participants, and average people a way to pull themselves into a better quality of life as well as provide stability for their pet projects. The 2010s for this reason were quite industrious, but as social media became more pervasive in our lives the images of cool people fermenting daikon and raising sheep got fetishized in the eyes of suburban cubicle workers as well as Brooklynite trustifarians who were ready to start families and back-to-the-lander regions began to experience an influx of a much less radical population. The rare and unique was becoming replaced by the formatted as an everything worth having and everywhere worth being vacuum started sucking items and locations out of thrift stores and back waters into the hands of the nouveau niche. Interestingly, much of the plot points of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram fall upon Libra-Aries timings, such as eclipses in this axis, displaying how and why the pervasiveness of “Identity Politics” and “Social Justice Warriors” dilated to such proportions in the period in which every time something transited either end of that spectrum it squared Pluto in Capricorn, or “the Patriarchy”, “the Oligarchs” or “the Boomers”. (Identity-Aries and Politics-Libra. Social Justice-Libra and Warriors-Aries).

The upcoming arrangement of Pluto instead in Aquarius makes a trine to Libra and a sextile to Aries, which may mean that something akin to “diy subculture” flourishes over the next 20 years, but also there is potential for “diy subculture” to be harmonious and collaborative with the degenerative power dynamics in the technocratic collective; indeed “Degen” has already been a term in the crypto space for a few years, referring to someone who partakes in high-risk trading. Pluto in Aquarius will be trine and harmonized with Uranus in Gemini by the summer and sextile to Neptune then Saturn in Aries, making for a highly dynamic new set of situations which play off each other in very activated and frenetic ways, but definitely seem to be autonomous hallucinating systems, data communication revolutions and disruptions, and powerful as well as corrupted techno-networks and syndicates. As I’ve reminded many times, the last time Pluto was in Aquarius in an Air period saw the fall of Feudalism largely from entropic deterioration of the societal structure. What we will likely begin to experience amidst this post-internet, post-AI and antagonistic technochracy culture climate as “DIY” will probably have a great amount of amorality baked into it, or, if there are codes of honor they are going to be subcultural and anarchic at their core, with probably near constant attempts to syndicate authenticity and originality and direct both the individual and the cultural web of relations back to the networks, which I am guessing introduces the square position to Pluto, the major narrative tension for the next twenty years: our struggle for all that is private, obscure, wild, natural, organic, sensual, raw, real and of quality. This is the Darkening, the fight for shadows space.

TRADITIONALLY UNCORED:

We are now possibly post trend as well as post genre, having become uncored: as in culturally decentralized, and generally undedicated as a population. So, as that is the dominant of the masses we may see the few seek total dedication to a variety of traditions, as Capricorn is now free of Pluto and able to function undistorted. This will likely follow certain people’s microcosmic plotline challenges with what happens in Aries which I think in some instances will be a total immersion in skill building, trade dedication, even union assembling, the mastering of useful, traditional skills. I think this will not be thought of as a turning back the clock, or a wishing one lives in the past Luddism, but more of a very matter of fact preservation of integrity. We are now post-progress with progressivism accelerating way beyond its bounds. If our databases are destroyed we lose incredible amounts of knowledge and information from a time that we built or manufactured mostly insignificant temporary things and structures. We very well could be remembered as a difficult to interpret dark ages. There will be some who take this very seriously and with or without fanaticism turn to tradition not as a shtick, and though this might be a subcultural splinter, it will not be cottage core, it will be more the real deal, as in multi-generational strategization.

THE PRIMAL PROBLEM:

Interfacing with what I was writing about DIY 2.0 as well as the Pluto from Capricorn to Aquarius article I just mentioned, the primal problem references Scorpio and Taurus being Pluto’s bends for the next 19 years. I’d watch for the progressive, technological and collectivist social network infrastructure to be juxtaposed with tension to wild animals and natural places. This can mean a lot of different things. Regulations on hunting and farming, restrictions imposed on habitat places, a negative societal attitude surrounding homesteading and self-sufficiency, or more culturally, the increasing aggression towards that which is unkempt, rugged, potent, passionate, basic, smooth, well crafted or consistent. It may be those in resistance to society at large embody Scorpionic and Taurusian attributes, which can be sometimes within the spectrum of paganism. We already saw a version of this when everyone was a witch for a year only to ‘trust the science’ the following. This round will be less of a FOMO flip flop and more of an ongoing tension between everything techno/social and everything resistant to socialization as well as a likely convoluted scheme to control nature for its own good, and what is the pivot point between that which is truly passionate and that which is relentlessly dispassionate. Some believe the government controls the weather with geoengineering while their vehement opponents insist this is not true and in fact they believe the government needs to begin controlling the weather with geoengineering and encourage policy for them to do so. How cracked that is should be obvious. Both ends of the spectrum are fractured from the center and have drifted to overlap in a splintered, paradoxical inclusion series of dissonance and incoherence. The cross-section of the entirety of the infrastructure of meaning, discourse, and culture-void hosted online or online adjacent or in spaces which are un-adjacent and therefore in excommunicated to contemporary resource nuances all agree on some level of the idea that corruption of the super-system is now unavoidably evident. All of the things we can say about it critically are passé, as we knew it all along, there’s no surprises, just a threshold acknowledgement that we’re at where we were afraid we would be going. Knowledge that blue LED light will blind you is tolerable until you are blind, that phones will give you brain cancer is tolerable until the tumors, that personal info farming and DNA harvesting is sketchy but we accept the terms every time until we are faced with the horror of replicas, loss of self, adversarial doppelgängers, forced health and safety interventions, the management of genome and mind for ours and everyone else's benefit; we know not yet what, but the intrusion of privacy we worry about is on its way to our door. I don’t mean this in a dystopian way, simply pointing out where some of the narrative tension of the tale may reside as evidenced by the astrology. If Pluto in Capricorn kicked Aries and Libra’s ass on the macro and transformed DIY, autonomous subculture into a social media handle hellscape then Pluto in Aquarius is about to put the pressure on Scorpio and Taurus and we need to think about what this is going to mean.

Pluto in Capricorn’s inauguratory reign included Jupiter in Capricorn, aligning with a recession which was a boon for oligarchs and monopoly men like characters who have frozen and locked the board-game of real estate reality. Jupiter in Aquarius in 2020 likely handed opportunistic tech nodes to certain societal agents who are going to express the corrupt power plays Pluto in Aquarius implies. Like I said above, we already know who. It’s drones and AI and neurolink-like implants and smart cities and so on. Billionaire investors encouraging Elon Musk to SpaceX-fy wildfire preventing, autonomous, intelligent drone swarms into existence during Mars’ retrograde in Cancer, the sign of home, comfort, nest and nurture while several thousands of people loose their house is a notable pivot point in the plot line of 2025, especially as Jupiter will come to replace Mars in position later and have some copiously over abundant balm to soothe the irritation to domestic crisis. In past cycle astrology that loops back to western expansion and the eventual Homestead Act we may see the allotment of properties and the ensuing rush of qualification to participate in getting a piece of the pie all the while this endeavor will need to be managed like its 2025 not 1860, so, regulatory modality will be instituting all of the above tech horrors as part of the contemporary utility norms. Nervousness over the technocratic authoritarian version of “rewilding” will largely be part of this, especially in this moment of the Californiacation of Central America, South East Asia and any where you can take bikini photos cosplaying visceral tactility for social media. Raw jungle, or any other raw nature is now an interface to drop pins and embed yourself in to exhibit your surgical and semisurgical body modifications and facial filters. This is similar to Pluto in Capricorn’s “Brooklynification” of the world. In any case upset about what is natural, wild, organic and private will be on the brunt end of a battle getting pummeled by relentless managerial artificiality.

EXTREME LANGUAGE:

Something many of you may have run into over the last six months is the podcast/documentary the Telepathy Tapes. The stories and experiments in which concerning the families and teachers of non-verbal autistic children who have come to realize that these kids are telepathic, interconnected around the world, often precognitive and can move even into the dreams of their caregivers and family members to dialogue and interact in a variety of meaningful, intelligent and even startlingly brilliant ways is a new narrative for the topic of Psi phenomenon. What makes it startling is its emergence, not from those that are already interested but from those that are simply attempting to best live with their children’s condition and advocate for them and are shocked to find out what they are actually capable of and what this means as a paradigm shift in general. This is likely only the first of such paradigm shifts. The unsettling abundance of regular Joe now turned expert reporter in ancient UFO mysteries and quantum dimensions suggests the public is more than ready and willing to come to table hungrily, although the prevalent authoritarian Scientism is not ready to release the monotheistic anchor points of rational materialism, meaning tension will mount in places that need and cannot withstand rupture. We don’t necessarily want to convince the masses psychic phenomenon exists and convince the medical industry energy healing is real or Science that there is an amount of causation in the imaginal and subtle levels of reality because in a globalized, technological society such as ours it only means they are coming to control more of your being and usurp your experience.

Regardless, the level of disruption we are about to experience to information exchange, data communication, idea pollination, transmission of thought and dynamics of language we are going to experience over the next 7-8 years with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius is significant, whether its coming from multiple internets, psi normalization, neuro implants, or intelligent artificial entities which can read your biology well enough to model your thoughts. As suggested above, the battle for stealth and privacy is nigh.

AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS DREAM:

Saturn-systems, Aries-autonomous and Neptune-dreams is an uncomplicated equation: the dream to build autonomous and independent machines is well rooted into modern technical development, as is an alternative read: Autonomous Systems Hallucinating. It was unnecessary to mingle in local space, or even relocate to where people were engaged in congruent pursuits, instead people factioned into online specification of interests and wormholed. Lockdowns finished the asphyxiation process, as the final rhizomes of connectivity were cut as remaining event spaces and scene hubs were forced into closure.

After a couple years, the world thawed and began to reactivate, oddly at first, disjointed and malformed as it unfolded from all the conditions, but eventually life began to go about its business and events and happenings returned, although, they were largely populated with new faces who seemed to be wearing costumes of the people who had filled these enclaves before, but with different politics and paradigms.
