The skies of the moment are being much talked about for the anomalous recent shift of multiple outer planets into fire and air signs all aspecting one another, mostly by trines and sextiles, a configuration which caught the attention of astrologers for years and even decades prior. The dynamic, frenetic and unfamiliar transition of life state which is the 2025 to 2026 story into the beyond of the next decade or two is well under way, even when we’re still not entirely sure what it is going on in our midst.

Saturn is making us obligated to be effective in a direct and in the moment way, making sure we’re alert and paying attention without wasting energy, like an athlete waiting to perform before the judges in a string of other contestants being assessed; in this type of chronology time is passing both gruelingly slow as well as way too fast simultaneously. I’ve noticed many people having to wait, eyes peeled, poised and ready for critical specifics to line up to pull everything together for a rapidly approaching deadline where hoops need to be jumped through at exactly the right time and in the right order but seemingly at the last minute. Like soldiers in a foxhole, you can’t relax entirely as the enemy might arrive suddenly and unexpectedly even long after you’d ever imagined you could possibly wait for them. It seems the battle was over months ago then boom, hope you were prepared to leap into action still.

Neptune is operating nearby, dousing us in a confusion bred of the same obstacle course like dynamics, where we can imagine ourselves as capably autonomous and independently effective and mythologize direct action scenarios for ourselves which widen our perception, yet we can’t exactly find the kinetic inspiration and energy for this activity without throwing ourselves into the trance of striking out and enacting what we’re projecting. You can’t know until your hypnotized by the doing. Coincidentally, these periods seem to be inventive in the realm of new ways to imagine getting things done amidst a moral ambivalence where skilled individuals are cut loose and left to wander, gamble and go mercenary (all both literally and figuratively).

Collaborating with this is the paradigm shift of Uranus’ presence in Gemini, spinning up an urgency to think differently, communicate differently, align with different ideas, shift paradigms completely, essentially scramble all the settings in the mental computers and juggle a whole new variety of objects, and in a radically different way. This adds a maddening array of alternative branch-ways which were not there before, but despite Uranus’ inherent chaos, these periods do tend to be humanitarian turns in culture where new moral codes are conceptualized and breakthroughs occur in thinking surrounding have vs have-not dynamics and how neutral interface occurs throughout the social orders. This is perhaps perfect timing in a period notable for its last few years of antisocial shatter and isolation circuitries.

This harmonizes with Pluto in Aquarius, which certainly is representative of the technocratic corruption itself, spanning billionaire land-grabs, intelligence sector under layers, panopticons, medical industry hubris, space program agendas, collectivist transhumanisms and all the rest as well as the ability to horizontally interconnect and pioneer ourselves socially out of these very nightmares. Last time Pluto was in Aquarius in an Air Period was the 12/1300’s featuring the fall of feudalism through slow, entropic degradation of Lord’s power via a variety of factors rendering them irrelevant. Not typified by revolutionary conflict, more that there was no reason to heed or pay them anymore (as weather disruptions, health concerns and commercial markets contributed). The transition was spread across generations and unequal geographically so it wasn’t necessarily always detectable in one single lifespan per se. I’d expect we will be witness to the slow loss of coherence, consolidation, organization and ability to fund any and all technocratic projects within this our future’s extending into the next 200 years, in which the global North will come more to resemble the Global South, and the idea of “developed” vs “developing” nations, at the heart of globalism, dissolves.This is probably bad for the kind of out of scale wealth accumulation made possible during globalism (including the relative middle class variety) but most likely good for social and cultural connective tissues to be reinvigorated with inherent dynamism and variety.

Pluto’s expression, aside from being harmonized with Uranus’ and collaborating with Neptune’s/Saturn’s, is also opposed by Jupiter in Leo. Here we have the coherence of the spirit, heart, conscious awareness, orientation to self sovereignty being given opportunity to grow and expand in understanding by being directly opposed to the kind of terrifyingly corrupt, progressive, scientific, technological and collectivist systems, institutions and syndicates Pluto encompasses. In a sense this is warm vs cold, life vs death, human vs non. It is in the axis of this opposition which the lunation exactly takes place, with the Sun conjunct Jupiter and the Moon conjunct Pluto.

The Sun conjoining Jupiter is Jupiter’s cazimi, which will be just separating by the time the Moon reaches fullness. Cazimi means “in the heart of the Sun”, when briefly their foci combine and Jupiter can counsel with the universal order, aiming his agenda of coherent, optimistic becoming greater, and in this case more authentically ourselves. In that sense there is an injection of a bold, self sovereign, self-expressive and confident philosophy, yet this is also when Jupiter disappears from the sky for just over a week and transitions from being seen in the evening to being seen in the morning. This period of renewal is like a “New Moon” for the planet, so this focused momentary injection of central, consciously-aware ,spirit-heart wisdom arrives within a brief period where the same dynamics are on hold because they are being renewed and reset. So, essentially, who you understand to be authentically you and how to centralize that and express it may be different from its expression over the past 12 years. This aligns pretty concisely with Neptune’s newness in Aries, as he was just in Pisces from 2011/12—2025/26, so since the world is much different then versus now, and you have twelve more years of life experience behind you, what authentically is being given opportunity to grow as your self awareness renews may surprise you. To locate this thread simply identify what it is you are excited by, inspired to engage with, what motivates you, what turns you on, what you feel like celebrating. Its likely in the dimension of your being that drives your spirit, so the fuel reserve of your heart, what revs up your mind’s-eye as well as draws your attention in big ways. With the opposition to Pluto, this might be also the very thing which the contemporary world has come to abduct, distort, pervert, oppress, corrupt or exploit and has had you distancing yourself from yourself. Growing more into the central authority of our consciously-aware spirit-selves requires at this juncture shedding outdated, unnecessary and toxic layers of what is commonly celebrated, most likely to do with what we have thought or been taught we deserve for being so “special”. Much of this may be from commercial reality, such as the products and vacations consumer society has dangled in front of us as rewards for complying with hustling for funds that parasitical players, institutions, and cabals skim heavily off of. We may decide then to walk away from such systems, which can be liberatory even though it at first exiles and isolates us from common hubs but with time introduces us to others of like mind, which ultimately can repair the social connective links which have been damaged or severed by the peak virtual period over the past 9 years (since the nodes were in opposite signs).

Ironically, this compulsion to progress can bring us dangerously close to the very corruption we are trying to escape from while surfing the bleeding edge, but it’s this exact dance that becomes what we must enact to retrieve our lucidity of spirit and cease to hide out in lockdown cognitive stagnancy. We go as quiet pilgrims with big personalities yet without prescriptive ideologies to subscribe to. It’s a moment of show rather than tell, where the action is happening in the real world rather than online. We’ll have to be very true, hardcore, zen-level aware. This will all get specifically tested later on in early 2027 when Mars turns retrograde. We’re all initiating obstacle courses for ourselves to run in testing our energy to keep up with what got catalyzed and we’ll be more apt to succeed if we entered into Daimonic arenas, where our spirits are roused to feed us inspired fuel. So align with what your spirit sights even if it reads as possibly too dicey, as the path that seems now to be a safer bet might just flip into a minefield of maneuvering unexpectedly down the line, and if its a drag on your spirit then the required enthusiasm might be too difficult to conjure. Within this also we have to be agile, flexible, adaptive. Only you will know in the moment when to strike out and make your leaps. This is a first hand basis in the moment thing. The timing is on you and what you’re experiencing. Respond rather than react. Neither trigger-shy nor trigger-happy will do.

From the perspective of the 28 the Moon is going full in the 24th Shape which in the PGM is LIGHTNING, with the Sun transferring light from the opposite shape, the 10th, which is HORSE. The talisman for the 24th mansion in the Picatrix is for “increasing herds” whereas the 10th Shape HORSE has a notable dynamic of “bringing the others”, influx of characters, summoning various personae and the influence of foreignness. In this we can sense both the Leo end of the spectrum, such as performance of personality, and the Aquarius end, alien otherness and unfamiliarity. There are other ties between the two polarities. The associated Grimorium Verum spirit to the 24th mansion, Guland, is said to be able to cause or heal illness and can be inquired for medical diagnosis, where as the 10th mansion in Picatrix includes a talisman for curing infirmities and easing childbirth. Indeed, the image mentioned in the 24th mansion in Picatrix is a “woman breastfeeding”. Childbirth certainly is a kind of summoning personae, and is monitored diagnostically with careful attention. The 24th Nakshatra mentions karmic transmissions from previous incarnations, including health conditions, so the diagnostic reach required here might be beyond the physical realm. Indeed, the synchretized Exu in Quimbanda to Guland is Exu Morcego, a bat who is also known for being an alchemist, not a stranger to blowing up the laboratory. This could relate to what is implied in LIGHTNING, a kind of gnostic epiphany, as this is one of several associated objects or attributes of Hekate in the final 7 entries of the PGM’s Prayer to Mene list where the Shapes derive, especially when cross-referenced with Hekate’s roles in the Chaldean Oracles. This lightening is probably present in initiatory shock within the Mystery Rites; when the participant is disassociated by intoxication, trance or ritual action from their body and or identity, paralleling the same separation in post-mortem passage towards rebirth. In this sense we have planetary testimony for understanding there’s an influx of new spirit aligning people and influences flowing into our story-lines, a eureka like explosion of diagnostic awareness may be striking which clearly defines a divide between the familiarity of who we were and the world we once knew and the abyss of unknown we must now proceed through.

This last bit is interesting in light of the Indo-European prominence of archetypal, mythological and literal horse/lightning aspects originating with the domestication of horses and migrating from the Eurasian steppes across all of Europe and down to the Indian Subcontinent, on horseback wielding weapons and worshiping storm gods which would become Zeus, Indra, Thor, Perkunas and so on. The memory of this is most likely encoded into this axis of the Mene list in the PGM, as horses were known to be not native to North Africa at the time. The progression out of the steppes grasslands as the divine strikes of lightning seared across a landscape composed mostly of sky can be evocative still of the current transition; then from Old Europe to the Indo-European culture which replaced it as this push from east to west ensued over a many generations shifting of civilization.

Both the 24th Indian Nakshatra and the 24th Chinese Xiu speak of influences and dynamics that are beyond regular reality. In the former: Rta or universal law, the order of the gods, Rahu enacting “nodal enforcement”, the compulsions of manifestation rife with invisible obstacles in a world where the show must go on. Remediating worship is explicit, salt and ocean waters where you might find Gulls to venerate, birds of Rahu. Galvanic implications come to mind, as the ocean can be thought of as a big battery bath with lightning in search of conductivity. The latter: Feng shui and/or talismanic power, maintaining the purity of sacred spaces, willow boughs to bless the dead, seeking insights through divination, or simply turning away from the world towards inner alchemy. The presiding divine entity is listed as a “high official with his back turned away from the living, holding a plate or book in the air as an offering”.

This is certainly a moment in the larger Air Period epochal drama, where we are actively mapping the unseen realm and how it functions for the next couple centuries. In this instance we must align with our energetic centers to inform our dark passage through perceived apocalyptic territory, a classically gnostic scenario. We must be awake, aware, and in touch with our own divine spark, seeking its guidance in a moment when ‘what’s trending’ is no longer trending and our online avatars have deflated. The dopamine hit from likes is being transferred to more tangible benefits of attention in the real world; the attention we both give to our spirit’s expression as well as share when we are in contact with others, likely not the All of the collective but those other initiates co-traversing on our own particular journeys of renewal.

We are confronted by what we see and what we don’t. Sudden flashes both blind and allow us to see. Energy transfers dramatically from here to there. There is power to embrace and power to resist. If you are not aligned with a power source simply do not use their lights. Some situations though are not as black and white, and must be fractured and splintered down into overlaps of sense. On this level of complexity is an equation to understand in our bodies. The aware spirit selects chains of seeming paradoxes to arrive at ultimate ends situated outside of blind time. The energy must go somewhere, feel the pulse and diagnose.
