Lunar Eclipse at 4* 54’ Pisces
27th Shape: CHILD
4° 17' 09'' Pisces – 17° 8' 34'' Pisces

In perfect Piscean manner, it appears that across the cultural examples of 27th mansions, Nakshatras, Xiu, Shapes and Spirits there is a theme of abundant flow for better or for worse. This translates in the Picatrix to increasing merchandise as well as leaky vessels and the condition of springs; in the Verum to a spirit who prepares feasts and banquets, the synchretized Exu of Quimbanda both locks and more importantly unlocks things; in the Veda to a deity who ushers in prosperity, nourishing and flourishing; in the Chinese almanacs to processions, concerts and sound flowing through flutes. We see parallels abound in the 27th Shape, one of the clearest in displaying how the various systems are talking about the same archetype just in different geographies in different eras of time.

The PGM calls the 27th CHILD, which likely refers to Horus, or more specifically, infant-Horus or Harpocrates. Horus was the son of Osiris and Isis, who after Set (Osiris’ brother) murders and takes Osiris’ place, rises up and avenges his father and reclaims the throne. This is the classic Hamlet motif which likely refers to precessional reorganization, but as all cycles are nestled into each other, this deals also with the heralding of the increase of light after the descent into winter darkness, and more locally, the return of the Sun promised in pre-dawn glow after a long night. Set being an entity of disorder and chaos and Osiris in the natural order which allows for the establishment and flourishing of life. Horus then is the divine child who promises to restore order after the fall. It is the potentiation celebrated in the holy baby shower festivities, all the fanfare is simply to hype that we will indeed survive the long, dark, chaotic dissolution and be restored to the energetic emergence of reliable regeneration.

This follows the last eclipse on August 12th in SHEGOAT, which involved the Amalthea myth: baby Zeus being hidden away from his father Kronos who intended to devour him. Zeus being safeguarded and nursed in secrecy assured he would later mature into the Olympian force that could overthrow the Titans and in similar fashion render earth a place stable enough for us to inhabit. That tale explicitly involves conspiracy so it is ironic that Hapocrates’ gesture (finger to mouth) was misinterpreted as the “shhhh” symbol of silence when it really was the universal pointing to the mouth which indicates “me hungry, feed me”. In both SHEGOAT and CHILD resource distribution and abundance is implicated, but on this end of the eclipse season sequence it is more about the unimpeded flow, not the holding and storing. It is the feasting which nourishes both body and soul, but doesn’t necessarily hold on to anything for later. It is the fountain which functions to upwell essence with no thought of tomorrow— despite it also being a celebration of tomorrow, as it is at this end of the zodiacal timeline where new day, new dawn, new year and so on are inevitable. It is the moment of the long passage at sea where land is sighted and the sailor in the crows-nest cries “Land Ho!” And suddenly all the precious stores aboard are liberally unlocked no longer needing to be rationed.

Think this over when considering what getting in the stream of abundance is all about in the CHILD Shape vein rather than the SHEGOAT vein. There may be resource release and reception involved, but it could be more in harmony with an experience and overall atmosphere, like going out dancing and partying and partaking which afterwards you reflect “I really needed that!”. It may be monetary, it may be food, it may be stuff, it may be vibes, it may be movement, but no matter what its the acknowledgement of potentiation of newness in the story-cycle and the loosening effect which accompanies it. There is something sacred here, like sap flowing in the trees after a long winter. But it is not the kind of abundance cue which fills the larder and stockpiles wealth, its more the type which ceremoniously opens up the pantry to the party-goers and pilgrims.

As this is Pisces it will refer to Jupiter, who is Leo bringing coherence to what is authentic and how we can grow into a more sovereign self. The Sun is in Virgo paying acute attention to the sensitive instruments which measure and monitor the minutest details of whatever is logistically afoot. The superior conjunction with Mercury has just occurred so there is likely a very accurate read at the moment and very particular messages may have been delivered to us one way or another with critical data included, such as exactly how to have our settings switched for optimum efficiency. This blend of a celebratory loosening up for the sake of authentic articulation of logistical factors indicating the potential of regenerated existence throws itself into the plotline with much gusto, as this is a North Node lunar eclipse. We are heavily compelled, and with the Serpents Head in Aquarius, that is likely in the direction of what is progressive and pioneering rather than familiar and predictable.

The lunation is applying also to a square with Uranus in Gemini, so there’s narrative tension between the piscean abandon and the erratic shifting of cross-pollinating data exchanges and upheavel of optionality and alternatives. This might be a clash between the All and the variety-of-many where the difference between things resists the holistic gelling required to resolve the plot at this moment. Uranus-Moon aspects often trigger moves, and it is true that the Chinese material mentions “a child having to leave the country” and the Rig Vedic Pushan is a deity who protects paths and journeys leading to new pastures, but also the Picatrix warns of peril at sea and the Chinese advice is to move slowly and methodically so the snake will not strike.

There is pied pipering going on here to be sure, but the hypnotism which gets the children marching is not spastic and ecstatic, it is in concert with what is flowing in the larger conditions, even when it seems to surge, we must keep our balance and surf. Take heed though, despite the let the good times roll overlay there’s enough turbulence and added oomph here to portend a wipe out, so know how big the waves you set out to ride could possibly be and situate yourself accordingly. I think disruption is par for the course, in the mutable ocean of reshuffling ideas, so there may be more Peter Brotzmann and Albert Ayler than Pilharmonic going on here, meaning if you can’t improvise you might not understand the band. These free-jazzy cats didn’t choose to stray from scripted conformity because they neglected to learn to play their instruments in the first place, just ask Mercury currently in Virgo— it’s precisely what they were trained to do which led them to wildly loosening up and going off the deep end. This then might be music made without much paperwork explicitly to escape the drudgery of too much paperwork and the wild alternatives to what had been planned suddenly altering the progression mid flow. Increased footwork, so kowabunga, hang ten.
